Ecocem based at Dublin Port has said it hopes to create 61 jobs in a €19m investment at a new plant at the port.

Ecocem Ireland said that 25 jobs will be created at the plant and another 36 indirect jobs in other, directly-associated and Irish-based suppliers.

The new plant will be used to bag the company’s eco-friendly cement, which among other things reduces the carbon footprint of traditional cement by over 50pc.
