Relief felt as agreement reached over electrical dispute – CIF

The CIF has welcomed the agreement reached at the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) between the employers and unions.

Under the agreement existing pay arrangements will continue to apply for electricians.

The CIF and the TEEU have agreed to recommend these proposals for acceptance to their members.

Speaking following the agreement, CIF Director General Tom Parlon said, “We are happy that a resolution has been found, which we hope will avert the impending industrial action. We were aware the proposed strike was a cause for concern amongst clients in the industry.

“These proposals will allay any concerns clients had in relation to disruptions on site. We hope to see the proposals ratified in the coming days,” Mr. Parlon concluded.
