Barack Obama Plaza open for business

The Plaza located in Moneygall of course, involved a capital investment of around €7m and will employ over 70 local people. 

Pat and Una McDonagh, founding directors of Supermac’s Ireland, developed the site. Supermac’s will have a presence on the site, alongside Papa John’s Pizza, Super Subs, Tim Horton’s and a fresh gourmet style delicatessen.

Also present are a Topaz fuel station and a Spar convenience shop, as well as state-of-the –art meeting rooms for businesses and organisations.

A visitor centre is due to open soon and will provide an educational experience focused on Irish-American history and culture and celebrating President Barack Obama’s official Visit to Moneygall along with his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama in 2011 where he met with his Irish relatives.
