Jim Rice, managing director of Schneider Electric Ireland knighted by French President

At a ceremony to be held in the French Residence on Ailesbury Road in Dublin this evening, H.E. Jean-Pierre Thebault, Ambassador of France to Ireland is to bestow the honour of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Merite on Jim Rice, Managing Director of Schneider Electric Ireland.

This award is in recognition for his long and distinguished career in Schneider Electric and also for his role as President of the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce (FICC).

This honour distinguishes his outstanding service rendered for the promotion of France in Ireland and the exchanges between the two countries. The ceremony this evening is to be  attended by family, friends and business colleagues.

Jim Rice, managing director of Schneider Electric Ireland said: “This recognition is not only a huge honour for me and my family, but also for the team at Schneider Electric. Its a testament to the incredible work that we’ve achieved in Ireland and I am very pleased and proud to accept this prestigious accolade on behalf of those accomplishments.”
