Ireland sells €750 million of its 10-Year bond by auction

The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) has today completed an auction of €750 million of the benchmark 10-Year Irish Government bond, the 3.40% Treasury Bond 2024, at a yield of 2.730%.

Total bids received amounted to €2,072 million which was 2.8 times the amount on offer.

With the completion of today’s auction the NTMA has raised €6.5 billion in the bond markets so far this year which is more than 80 percent of its funding target of €8 billion for the full year.

Today’s auction completes the auction schedule for Q2 of 2014. A statement on the NTMA’s bond issuance plans for Q3 of 2014 will be made at a later date.
