Enda Kenny will reveal a major new jobs plan for the construction sector later this week.

An Taoiseach has stated that Ireland must kickstart a revival in the building trade, not only to address rising house prices but also to get builders back to work.

Mr. Kenny said that the best way to address the chronic shortage of housing was to start building more homes.His comments come after a new report found rent prices had increased by an average of 9% nationally in the last 12 months.
